A manager who wishes to lead an organization effectively should have a strategic plan to lead the organization. The strategy should visualize the organization’s desired outcome and the direction the manager to achieve the organizational goals and objectives. The managerial strategies in a workplace include classical management strategies, human relation managerial strategies, and high involvement strategies (Bogers et al., 2019). Management strategies involve the plans and models used by the organization to accomplish the desired future. Strategic management comprises the formulation of goals and objectives, leadership and control, and general management. For an organization to achieve its long-term objective, it requires a clear roadmap that brings synergy. The roadmap is contained in the strategy, which outlines the organization’s long-term goals and objectives and the organization’s desired future. This learning activity will expound on the workplace’s management strategies and how the management strategies align the organization’s values and behaviors.

The management strategies should enable the organization to achieve the set goals and objectives on time. The organization should have long-term and short-term objectives. The short-term objectives should contribute towards the achievement of the long-term. The organization should use strategic management to utilize the available resources to gain a competitive advantage. The managerial strategy should enable the organization to command a bigger market share. The management should foresee the opportunities and threats in the marketplace and take the appropriate measures for business survival. The management should also utilize strategic management to attract, acquire, utilize, and maintain competent human resources. The human resources should be well managed to earn the organization a competitive edge because of their unique skills, which can not be emulated by the rivals.

The organizational values and behaviors show the beliefs of an organization. The corporate values contribute to mission, vision, and objectives. The values and behaviors show how employees relate to the workplace and how they react to various situations. The management strategies should be in line with organizational values and behaviors (Barbosa et al., 2020). The management should understand the values and behaviors of the employees to avoid conflict. The organizational values define the organizational goals and objectives. For the objectives to be achieved, the employees should ensure they support the proposed strategies.

The organization’s objectives are to provide quality of work-life to the employees—the organization aims to ensure that the employees are happy at the workplace.

The organization values the mental well being of the employees. The organization gives the employees leaves to attend to their personal and family issues. The recreational facilities and nature explorations help the employees to rejuvenate their energy and reduce stress for high productivity and performance.

Attitudes and Performances

In conclusion, the management should strive to ensure the employee is well managed to secure the effectively run their duties. Employee involvement is vital to empower them to feel like part of the organization. Empowered employees are a source of competitive advantage to the organization.

Finally, the time to accomplish writing this book was unexpected. Starting the book two months ago and then navigating the system to get it out took time. I will just write a few steps to get you started writing and hopefully getting your book published along with some sales.

1. Writing Your Content

Writing a book can be a challenge. If you will write a book soon, I suggest giving yourself a deadline. Once you have put your mind into finishing, then you will eventually have the drive to complete the book.

My goal was to finish before the end of December… I met that goal, and I did not fall short on that. I used a software called Scrivener that helped me keep track of how much of the book I had left to finish. It also helped me create the manuscript layout, disclaimer, about the author, title page, contents, and other details that without the software I would have missed.

The first time around or the first edition might have some setbacks, issues or overlooked aspects. That should not stop you from thinking too much and trying to make it perfect. Just write the manuscript and try to get to the finish line. The rest will fall in its place., all the resources are out there.

2. Publishing the eBook & Print Version

We can publish the book in the digital version and a print on demand version. The print on demand version doesn’t sell as many copies, but not having that option can also make you miss out on sales. Besides the print on demand is not expensive and has a higher tag price, which means better royalty payout.

Designing the cover you can use Upwork or 99designs. Either option is good and I would suggest exploring both options. The one I have used is Upwork as you can set your budget and most of the time stay within it. 99designs offers a guarantee that you will like it or your money back. You pay more for that kind of service but you get what you want.

Proofreading and editing your work. If you are unsure, this option is necessary for most writers. The reason I say that is that your book might not get published if they find errors while uploading your manuscript. To avoid proofreading errors, I use either Grammarly or ProWritingAid.

3. Marketing Your Book

There are plenty of ebooks out there and getting noticed is difficult. Look into doing promos and learn a few marketing skills. There are books and videos that can help you get your book to the right audience.

Also, you will need to have the right keywords to convert your visitors into buyers. I found Kindlepreneur to be helpful in understanding your options to market your book and guide you with new ideas.
